Why Are There So Many Buses For Sale?
Most of today’s students are driving to school. This is the main reason why there are so many buses for sale. However, the trend of buses for sale does not automatically start and end there. While student drivers are a strong reason, there are a couple other underlying factors that are not too surprising.
Years ago, buying a car for your high school student was not a manageable action. One still had all the costs they do today, what with insurance and the actual price of the auto itself. Today, these costs are not as overwhelming and so by the droves “school buses for sale” ads might well have begun appearing in every newspaper. What does it mean overall when there are these school buses for sale though? In short, it means more people are driving to and from school, because of how affordable it has become.
Of course, the responsibility of driving younger siblings to school, which always falls on the older sibling’s shoulders, would probably make a few of those older ones start to fume if they ever realize what buses for sale means. Which, more or less, means the older sibling is going to be the sole transporter from now on. Perhaps they are never really too aware of this being the case, but still, it could be considered a telling sign.
To be honest, the only cost of owning a car that has not decreased in a scaled value has been the cost of gas, which many know has only risen considerably. Actually, that may be a side reason for why there are so many buses for sale, the sheer cost of gasoline.
A person cannot expect to pay for fuel on top of everything else, which probably meant the trend of buses for sale was a direct effect of rising oil prices. Really, think about it though. A bus driver, or the school even, has to be conscious of insurance considering the constant streams of young kids they are responsible for. Then they have to make sure their buses are strictly maintained so they can pick up and drop off students under harsh weather conditions. On top of that, if there school district expands and they need to add brand new buses, the costs are astronomical. It is almost more surprising that there are not more buses for sale given what it takes to keep them active.
